WOW- I didn't realize it had been months .... I mean months since I had done a post.  This one will be short- It is now August 8th 2018- as a new school year gets ready to start and my girl Haley starts her third year of teaching.  It's amazing how time flies.  I've missed having her home since January... 2018.  She moved back home in January 2017 to start her journey at Ewing and here we are a year and a half later and she is still at Ewing, although commuting from Lexington every day- and soon from Georgetown as her and her boyfriend of over a year move to their new home.   I'm impressed with her passion and drive, her dedication to her boyfriend, her friends , her family and to her kids in the classroom.... she really never ceases to amaze me.   I'm so very proud of the young woman that she is.    One day I know her children will be lucky to have such a wonderful caring mom in their lives.

I love my Haley Jean- and wish that her nana could be here to share all of her success.   Will be 25 years young on August 30th.

January 1, 2017- Positively Present 365 Photo Project

The purpose of the Positively Present 365 Photo Project is to help you live a more present life by paying attention to your surroundings and capturing them with a camera. Use whatever kind of camera you like (I'll be using my phone and my big girl camera- I'll note in comments

Sooooo- you say what's all this I hear about taking a photo each day for 365 days?  Well it's kind of like this..... take notice in the things around you.... the good things, the bad things, the beautiful things and the not so beautiful things.... I'm a little behind so I will post January 1, 2017 here.

January 1, 2017

So I've had my eye on this gif for a while and just knew that I HAD to have one for myself!  I know it's more of a screenshot, but I wanted to share!  HOW cut is this!!!!!

2017 Live Simple

We are nine days in to 2017 and each year at this time I have so many BIG IDEAS and SO MANY new things that I want to try, but inside all my mind and body wants to do is REST- since I've been going for months with very little sleep.  I tell myself that I need a few weeks to decompress and to unwind, leaving it all behind as if it doesn't exist- it's then that I feel the heaviness lift away, the pressure to get the mounds of photos complete is GONE-  So this year I want to live a little simpler, get more rest, enjoy life more with family and friends, make someone smile on a daily, and do the things that I love!

My first Job

As most of you know who read my blog; I am also a media specialist during the day, placing employment ads for a large newspaper in my area.  I've been in the newspaper/ecommerce business for as long as I can remember- All together- two different papers for a total of about sixteen years! and I wouldn't trade it for anything... yes, sometimes I could scream when we are slow, or when things just don't seem to be going my way; but for the most part I LOVE my job and love the people I work with, they are more like family to me than co-workers... the iphone photo below is of  our second day of training- which was four hours long each day! Vince was overall a great speaker and motivator!
