DRUM ROLL PLEASE dddddddd!!!!! I’m so excited to announce the winners of our 2014 Valentine’s Day Contest –
Matt Ring and his fiancé Melody Bluck who were nominated by their friends Jenny Ockerman and Brandy Smith. - I informed Melody earlier today that she and Matt had won our contest- and she replied saying that she NEVER wins anything! And that she’s so excited. Once you read this amazing story of love and commitment you will understand why they were so deserving.
In Melody’s own words-
I first met Matt the day before my cousin's wedding in July of 2012. My Aunt, Mom, and his Mom all worked a traveling carnival in the summers when they were young, yet Matt and I had never met. We hit it off and began a long distance relationship with me living in California and him in Kentucky. We fell in love with each other’s minds, personalities, and connected emotionally. When Matt flew out to California in October 2012 on his first plane ride to take me out on a date I fell in love. In November 2012 my world was shattered when I found out Matt had been in a serious car accident and on the verge of death. I flew out immediately and spent the next 6 months flying out to help care for and visit Matt in the hospital and rehab, and then return to work at my job. Matt had a miraculous recovery and after another visit from him In California we decided it was time to take the next step and I moved to Kentucky. Matt proposed in December and made me the happiest girl.
